First Nordic meeting: Hereditary cancer and genetic counselling in the Nordic countries

Welcome to Skien November 12th. Open meeting to all healthcare professionals working with hereditary cancer.

The meeting is open to all healthcare professionals working with hereditary cancer. There will be a small participation fee of 350 NOK which covers lunch and refreshments on November 12th.

Abstracts

We aim for an interactive meeting and encourage everyone to submit abstracts for oral presentations. You can choose between two categories:

1. Scientific project

Please submit a structured abstract describing your study. The abstract should include names of all authors and their affiliations. The name of the person presenting the abstract must be underlined.

Font: Times New Roman, size: 12; Maximum length: 250 words (excluding title, authors, and
affiliations).

2. Challenging clinical case

Please submit a PowerPoint presentation on a challenging case you want to discuss with our Nordic expert panel. The presentation should be of maximum 2-3 slides (1 slide pedigree, 1-2 slides pertinent details).

In the e
-mail you should include a title of your presentation, your name, place of work, and position.
Junior
colleagues will be prioritized for the case presentations.

Accommodation:

Participants must book their own accommodation. NFMG/NSHG has agreements with two hotels:

  • Clarion Collection Hotel Bryggeparken: Price NOK 1405 per night.   • 13:30: Organisation of hereditary cancer service in the Nordic countries. Presentation from ERN GENTURIS national coordinators (20 min each). Sweden (Svetlana Lagercrantz), Denmark (Karin Wadt), Finland (Minna Poyhonen) 

14:30: Break

  • 14:45: Organisation cont. Norway (Hildegunn Vetti) + Iceland (tbd)
  • 15:25: Nordic education of genetic counsellors. Cathrine Bjorvatn
