Nordic Blood Preparedness Meeting, November 2024
The Norwegian Directorate of Health, the Western Norway Regional Health Authority and the Norwegian Center for Blood Preparedness conducted a Nordic Blood Preparedness meeting in November (2024) at Solstrand Hotel & Bad, Norway.

In general
Close relationships between civilian blood services, transfusion medicine experts, defense forces and competent authorities, are needed to ensure preparedness for crises and war situations. In the meeting, we invite civilian and military stakeholders to discuss and describe the roadmap towards establishing a Nordic Collaborative Blood Preparedness Program.
Aim of the meeting
To establish a coordinated and sustainable collaborative program to ensure adequate blood supply and preparedness for crisis and war in the Nordic countries.
