WESTCOR-study

The main aim of the Aiming toWards Evidence baSed inTerpretation of Cardiac biOmarkers in patients pResenting with chest pain (WESTCOR) study is to improve safety and efficiency of the diagnostic pathways and follow-up of patients presenting with acute chest pain.

The study encompass a biobank and we investigate the diagnostic performance of different single sample and 0/1 hour troponin algorithms for rule-out and rule-in of non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Patients are followed after the index episode and long-term prognosis of troponins and other cardiac, inflammatory and imaging findings are investigated.
