Reidar Nævdal is a trained psychologist with specialist training in social and general psychology. He has many years of experience in clinical mental health care for adults at Bjørgvin DPS in Bergen Health in the outpatient clinic and at the digital clinic eBehandling. Nævdal also has experience from several development projects such as the creation of the "Direct Contact service", and the treatment service "Psyken", as well as as head of the interregional competence network for eBehandling.

Nævdal's doctoral degree belongs to Work Package 4 - Implementation, and aims to explore how the implementation of digital health services is affected by 1) tailored implementation strategies developed through the ItFits – Toolkit, and 2) changes in the technology used to deliver digital treatments. The doctoral degree deals with digital health services in both primary and specialist health services, and is carried out in several eBehandling clinics, the Gastroenterology School and in Bergen Municipality.
