The Scientific Advisory Board
Neuro-SysMed is advised by a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), consisting of Professors Kailash Bhatia, Raymond Koopmans, and Xavier Montalban.
Neuro-SysMed's principal investigators for MS and dementia normally meet with their relevant SAB members during the Neuro-SysMed Annual Symposium to discuss their projects, planned activities, and how they work with the rest of the Centre. This leads to fruitful discussions and insightful feedback on the individual projects. In general, the SAB members in the last meeting expressed that they were very impressed with the high volume of investigator-initiated trials and their quality. Follow-up discussions have continued for the Centre's MS research, where new cutting-edge methods are being applied for new trials together with the EBV-MS consortium. The SAB members also often contribute with scientific talks at the Neuro-SysMed Annual Symposium.
