NSF-LKS congress, Trondheim, April 2017
The annual National Congress of Cardiac was this year arranged in Trondheim 26th- 28th of April. More than 300 delegates were present at the congress. Members of the PROCARD research group participated with two oral abstract presentation and three poster presentations.
Irene Valaker, PhD student In the CONCARD study, presented her study “The patient`s perspective on relational continuity with health care providers after percutaneous coronary intervention”. Kjersti Oterhals presented “Sleep deficits and the clicking sound from mechanical heart valves – are there gender differences?” in the session on “Patient reported health – pathway to strengthened patient centred practice.
Two of the research group`s members presented posters at the congress. Kjersti Oterhals: “Perception of annoyance by the closing sound of mechanical heart valves versus anxiety and depression”, and Nina Fålun: “Postgraduate care in Progressive Care Units, Intermediate Care Units og Postinterventional Units at Haukeland University Hospital – an evalutation studyevalueringsstudie”, and “Nurses experiences in and practice with writing diaries to critical ill patients.”.
