Rådgjevande utval for forsking
Neuro-SysMed har eit internasjonalt samansett rådgjevande utval som skal gje strategiske råd om forskingsaktivitetane ved senteret. Dette består av professorane Kailash Bhatia, Raymond Koopmans og Xavier Montalban.
Hovudforskarane ved Neuro-SysMed for MS og demens har vanlegvis møte med sine respektive medlemmer i det rådgjevande utvalet for forsking (SAB) under det årlege Neuro-SysMed-symposiet. Der diskuterer dei sine pågåande og planlagde prosjekt og korleis dei samarbeider med resten av senteret. Dette fører til gode diskusjonar og verdifulle tilbakemeldingar på dei enkelte prosjekta.
Under det siste møtet uttrykte SAB-medlemmene anerkjenning over det høge talet på forskarinitierte studiar og den høge kvaliteten på desse. Oppfølgjande diskusjonar har halde fram spesielt innan MS-forskinga ved senteret, der nye, banebrytande metodar no blir tekne i bruk i nye studiar i samarbeid med EBV-MS-konsortiet. SAB-medlemmene bidreg òg ofte med vitskaplege foredrag under det årlege Neuro-SysMed-symposiet.

Professor Kailash Bhatia is a Professor of Clinical Neurology at the Clinical and Movement Neuroscience Department at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, London, and an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at the affiliated National Hospital for Neurology (NHNN), Queen Square, UK. Professor Bhatia's main research interest is in movement disorders, merging clinical, electrophysiological, and genetic methods to study the pathophysiology of conditions like dystonia and PD.

Professor Xavier Montalban is the Chair of the Department of Neurology and Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Catalonia (Cemcat) at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, and Professor of Neurology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is a key opinion leader in the field of MS and has been a PI in more than 150 clinical trials.

Professor Raymond Koopmans is a Professor of Nursing Home Medicine studies at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Radboud University, the Netherlands. Professor Koopmans studies the course of dementia in nursing home patients.
